WRITTEN REPLY QUESTION NO: 22. (30) MR DHM GIBSON (DA) TO ASK THE
MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS: Whether in line with international recommendations,
South Africa will consider the use of targeted sanctions against the Sudanese
Government, including specific government officials most responsible for supporting
the atrocities in Darfur and key businesses of the ruling National Congress Party;
if not, why not, if so, what sanctions have been considered? N57E REPLY: No.
