OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS: Whether all officials in her department in senior
management, including those contracted to her department, disclosed their business
and financial interests, if not; (a) why not, (b) how many officials (I) have
done so and (ii) have not done so and (c) what steps is she taking to rectify
the matter? N906E
REPLY:
Period: 1 April 2004 to
31 March 2005
All Senior Managers in the Department of Foreign Affairs
have submitted the prescribed disclosure of financial interest forms.
Period:
1 April 2005 to 31 March 2006
No. Not all Senior Managers have submitted
their financial disclosure forms.
(a) why not
The reasons
are not known.
(b) how many officials:
(i) have done
so
As at 10 August 2006, hundred and eighty four (184) Senior Managers
have completed the prescribed form and the forms have been submitted to the Minister
for signature. Seven (7) forms were received but were returned for completion
of certain parts.
(ii) have not done so, and
Thirty three
(33) Senior Managers as at 10 August 2006.
(c) what steps is she taking
to rectify the matter? Individual Senior Managers were requested in
writing to submit the prescribed form by 30 June 2006. Where Senior Managers did
not comply, the matter will be addressed by the Head of the Department. The names
of the relevant employees have already been forwarded to the Directorate: Labour
Relations warning the concerned employees of the consequences and instructing
them to disclose their financial interests
