South Africa has had diplomatic relations with the state of Egypt since 1994. These relations are managed through the South African Embassy in Egypt which serves as a communications channel with the State of Egypt.

  1. The South African government will continue to support all efforts in Egypt to work towards the implementation of constitutional reforms and the organisation of democratic elections within the given six month timeframe;
