        Launch  of the Eritrea – South Africa Festival (ERISA) 
        The  Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Eritrea and the Embassy of the  Republic of South Africa in Asmara will host the launch event of the Eritrea –  South Africa Festival (ERISA) on 30th October 2014.  
        The  event will take place at the Expo Conference Hall, Expo Grounds in Asmara, with  the theme “People, Liberation and Development.” Ambassador T. Gerahtu and  Ambassador Prof. Iqbal Jhazbhay from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the  Embassy of South Africa will respectively address the media on this occasion. 
        This  Launch/Press Conference event will pave the way for a range of activities in  Eritrea to celebrate 10 Years since the establishment of the Embassy of South  Africa in Asmara (2004-2014). 
        The  planned range of activities include ERISA films, public lectures,  handicraft/design/fashion event, food and music festival, and a Mining  Seminar.  Activities will be arranged jointly with a number of  institutions, such as the Eritrean Institute of Technology, the Marine Sciences  College of Massawa, the Eritrean National Mining Corporation (ENAMCO), the  People’s Front for Democracy and Justice’s (PFDJ) Political, Cultural and  Economics Departments, EriTV, the National Union of Eritrean Youth and  Students, as well as the National Union of Eritrean Women.
