        President  Jacob Zuma congratulates the Prime Minister-Elect of Mauritius  
        H.E  President Jacob Zuma has extended his profound congratulations  to Sir Anerood Jugnauth on his election to the position of Prime  Minister of the Republic of Mauritius following a resounding victory by his  party in the country’s legislative elections that were held on 10 December  2014.  
        In  his message, President Zuma also congratulated the people of Mauritius for  conducting peaceful, credible and free and fair elections. President Zuma  said: “The successful elections in Mauritius attest to the stability  and strength of democracy in this Southern African country.” 
             
          President Zuma further expressed South Africa’s  readiness to continue to partner with the Government and the people  of Mauritius in the pursuit of the already existing mutually beneficial  cooperation between the two countries. South Africa and Mauritius enjoy strong,  warm and fraternal relations that are characterized by regular and increasing  interaction at all levels.
