What (a) is the name of the envoy to Burundi appointed by President, Mr Jacob G Zuma, (b) mandate has the envoy been given in terms of deployment and (c) are the relevant details of the envoy’s deployment to Burundi?
REPLY:
a. The name of the South African Ambassador (envoy) to the Republic of Burundi is Mr Oupa Ephraim Monareng.
b. The mandate of Ambassador Monareng is to represent and promote the interest of South Africa in Burundi and maintain good relations between the two countries.
c. Ambassador Monareng is deployed in Burundi to promote and maintain bilateral relations, including strengthening of economic ties between the two countries.
