Hon SV Kalyan (DA) to ask the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation:
(1) Whether the use of Government letterheads by a certain official (details furnished) to source income for personal projects is an acceptable practice in her department; if so, on what statutory grounds is it an acceptable practice; if not,
(2) Whether an investigation has been launched into the alleged misconduct; if not, (a) why not and (b) by what date will such an investigation be launched; if so, what were the outcomes?
REPLY:
The reply to the question is as follows:
(1)The practice of utilising Government letterheads to source income for personal projects is not acceptable in the Public Service,
(2) The investigation is currently underway and the outcome will be provided to the relevant managers within two (2) weeks, namely by the 7th April 2017.
