South African Visa Requirements

Visitors Visa

• Completed and signed visa application form.
• Valid passport (must be valid for at least six months as well as the Qatar residence).
• Original passport, copy of passport, residence / work permit.
• 1 (one) passport photo.
• Letter from employer stating salary, position, and term of employment as well as that the applicant will resume employment upon return from South Africa, and if the company will pay all the expenses of the trip or not.
• Letter of invitation from the South African company (stating the nature of the business to be undertaken and the duration of the visit) / OR if it is a Conference / OR Training course.
• Booking reservation ( for hotel / flight ticket)
• Important note: passports with extension stamps (not readable by the machine) are not accepted for the issuance of a visa.
• Qatari Riyals 130.00 which is non-refundable is charged (except for visa exempted countries)

Please Note

A visa only enables the holder to proceed to the port of entry before or on the expiry date of the visa.
The period of residence in South Africa will be requested by an applicant, therefore they must ensure that a detailed request on the full duration of their intended stay/visit is clearly indicated on the application form.
Visas WILL NOT be issued at South African ports of entry.

*Processing of visas takes (05) working days.
*Application should be sent to the South African Embassy.
*No visa will be issued without the required documents.
