2024 is drawing to a close and these are some of the highlights from the year; from the Travel Expo, the Africa Day celebrations, NABA Summit, Mandela Day at an old age home in Oslo, bilateral diplomatic engagements to cultural diplomacy with local schools; WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN! The Embassy of South Africa in Oslo is grateful to all the friends and partners of South Africa in Norway and we look forward to continue working together in 2025 and beyond.

Ambassador Delores Kotze’s 2024
Christmas message

As we embrace the festive season, I extend my warmest greetings to all South Africans living in Norway, our Norwegian friends, and the broader international community.

2024 has been a year of collaboration and shared growth between South Africa and Norway. Our partnership continues to flourish, underpinned by mutual respect and a shared commitment to advancing peace, sustainability, and prosperity. I am deeply grateful for the enduring bonds between our nations and for the vibrant South African community in Norway, who carry the spirit of Ubuntu wherever they go.

Christmas reminds us of the importance of kindness, compassion, and hope. These values are not only central to the season but also to the principles we uphold as a nation. Let us continue to work together toward a future marked by unity, equality, and justice, while also taking time to connect with our loved ones and rejuvenate.

As we look ahead to 2025, may the lessons of resilience and cooperation guide us. Let us strengthen the bridges we have built and pursue opportunities for deeper collaboration that benefit both our nations and the global community.

On behalf of the Embassy of South Africa in Norway, I wish you a joyful Christmas and a New Year filled with hope, peace, and success.

God jul og Godt Nytt År!
Ukhisimusi Omuhle Nonyaka Omusha Omuhle!
