Statement on the Arrival of Minister Dlamini Zuma in Cambodia in Anticipation of President Mbeki's Address to the 8th ASEAN Summit, 4-5 November 2002

Foreign Minister Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma arrived today, Monday 4 November in Cambodia to attend the 8th Asean (Association of South - East Asian countries) Summit, which will take place from the 4 - 5th November 2002. In this 8th Asean Summit, President Mbeki will address delegates on the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) on Tuesday, 5th November 2002.

Accompanying Dr Dlamini Zuma is Advocate Mojanku Gumbi, legal adviser to President Mbeki, Ambassador Billy Modise, South Africa's Chief of State Protocol and South Africa's Ambassador to Cambodia Ms BM Pheto.

The President's address to the 8TH ASEAN SUMMIT will be followed by a state visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia on the 6th November 2002.
