Statement on the Minister of Foreign Affairs Addressing the University of Alberta in Edmonton, then Proceed to the Beirut for the Arab Summit

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will deliver the keynote address at a symposium titled "The G8 and African Renewal", at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada on 22nd March 2002. The Minister's address will focus primarily on the contribution NEPAD can make to the recovery of the African continent.

The symposium at the University of Alberta is designed to bring together delegates from Canadian and African Non Governmental Organizations, representatives from African Governments and international academics, as part of the lead up to the G8 Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta from 26th - 28th June 2002.
The Minister will then proceed to Beirut where she will be attending the Arab Summit
