Minister for Africa at the UK Commonwealth Office Visits South Africa from 12-16 February 2002

Baroness Valerie Amos, Minister for Africa at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in the UK, will visit South Africa from 12 to 16 February 2002. The main purpose of Baroness Amos’ visit is to attend the meeting of G8 Personal Representatives for Africa, which will take place in Cape Town on 14 and 15 February.

Baroness Amos is British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s personal representative on the G8 group. She will also discuss a range of regional issues with South African Government representatives.
