The Wall of Solidarity is a place where pledged postcards
from members of the public have been placed in support
of the national 16 Days of Activism of No Violence Against
Women and Children.
The Postcard Pledge campaign was officially launched
two weeks ago to urge South Africans across the country
to become involved in the 16 Days of Activism campaign
that takes place annually between 25 November and 10
December. By signing the pledge postcards, which are
available free of charge at post offices countrywide,
members of the public are heeding a call to act against
gender-based and child-directed violence. The more post
card pledges signed, the more funds will be raised for
organisations that support survivors and victims of
abuse and violence.
