Deputy President Jacob Zuma to Visit Angola from the 22th to the 25th August 2004

The visit is aimed at strengthening political and economic relations between the two countries.

The Deputy President will be accompanied by:

* Minister of Transport Jeff Radebe;
* Minister of Trade and Industry Mandisi Mpahlwa; and
* Deputy Minister of Minerals and Energy Lulu Xingwana

The two countries have long standing warm and sound relations deepened by solidarity during the struggle for liberation.

The visit will emphasise and strengthen areas of co-operation on bilateral as well as multilateral issues, including the key question of the renewal of the African continent, peace and stability, and support for the New Partnership for Africa's Development.
