President Mbeki Offers Condolences to
President of the Commonwealth of Dominica
President Thabo Mbeki, today - Friday, 9th January
2004 - offered his sincere condolences to Dr Nicholas
Joseph Orville Liverpool, President of the Commonwealth
of Dominica following the death of Prime Minister Pierre
Charles on Wednesday, 7th January 2004.
President Mbeki said, "On behalf of the government
and people of the Republic of South Africa, I wish to
convey our sincerest and deepest condolences to your
Excellency, the Government and people of the Commonwealth
of Dominica, following the passing away of Prime Minister,
The Honourable Pierre Charles."
"Please be assured, Your Excellency, that our
thoughts and prayers are with the people of Dominica
in particular with the family of the late Honourable
Prime Minister during this time of bereavement,"
concluded President Mbeki.
