Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma to Lead South African Delegation to South Africa - EU Joint Co-operation Council Meeting, Brussels, Belgium, Tuesday, 23 November 2004

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will lead the South African delegation to the South Africa - European Union (EU) Joint Co-operation Council Meeting on Tuesday 23 November 2004 in Brussels, Belgium. Minister Dlamini Zuma departs from South Africa today, 21 November 2004.
Minister Dlamini Zuma's delegation will include Ministers Thoko Didiza and Mandisi Mpahlwa.

The EU will be represented at the meeting by the Netherlands Minister of Development and Co-operation, Agnes Van Ardenne; the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn; and the EU Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid, Louis Michel.

This forum is aimed at consolidating outcomes of President Thabo Mbeki's official visit to the EU from Monday - Thursday, 15 - 18 November 2004.

The SA-EU Joint Co-operation Council Meeting will review South Africa - EU co-operation within the framework of the recently finalised Trade, Development and Co-operation Agreement with specific reference to political dialogue and trade and development co-operation.

Minister Dlamini Zuma returns to South Africa on Thursday, 25 November 2004.
