Statement on the Appointment of the
New South African Heads Of Mission
The Director-General of the Department of Foreign Affairs,
Dr. Ayanda Ntsaluba today, Friday 2 April 2004 in Pretoria
announced the names of the newly appointed Heads of
Mission to represent South Africa abroad.
The new Heads of Mission as approved by President Thabo
Mbeki following recommendations by the Minister of Foreign
Affairs, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma are as follows:
Germany - Chikane Moses ;
Norway- Ishmael Coovadia;
Israel - Fumanekile FS Gqiba (current Chaplain-General
-SANDF);
Finland- Dr. Hans Bukelwa(Ms);
Kazakhstan - Mackerdhuj Karamchund (Ms);
Singapore -Makina Zanele Ms;
Namibia- Maseko Timothy;
Ghana -Molekane Rapu;
UN, Geneva- Dr. Mtshali Claudine (Ms);
Japan- Dr. Ngubane Ben ;
Ukraine - Sentso Asharaf;
Rwanda - Sigwela Ezra ;
Canada - Solomon Theresa (Ms);
Peru - Streeter Chris
The Director-General, Dr, Ntsaluba on behalf of the
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma,
extends his best wishes to all these newly appointed
Heads of Mission and expresses his confidence that they
will discharge their duties to the best of their abilities
in the quest to create a better South Africa and a better
Africa in a better world.
