Statement on the Appointment of Judges
President Thabo Mbeki has accepted the recommendations
of the Judicial Service Commission to appoint the following
persons as judges:
Supreme Court of Appeal
Ms Justice Belinda Jane van Heerden
Cape Provincial Division
Mr Daniel Vuminkosi Dlodlo
Natal Provincial Division
Adv Simon King Ndlovu
Ms Kantharuby Pillay
Transvaal Provincial Division
Mr Malesela Frans Legodi
Mr Boissie Henry Mbha
Ms Halima Khanam Saldulker
Mr Moroampholo Philemon Tsoka
Mmabatho High Court
Mr Justice Adolph Adriaan Landman.
Expressing confidence in the new appointments, the President
congratulated the judges and wished them well in executing
their judicial responsibilities in the second decade
of democracy and beyond.
