President Thabo Mbeki Conveys Condolences
to President Marc Ravalomanana
President Thabo Mbeki, today - Monday, 15 March 2004
- conveyed heartfelt condolences to the government and
people of Madagascar following one of the worst cyclones
to be experienced by Madagascar.
President Mbeki said, "President Ravalomanana,
please accept sincere and heartfelt condolences from
the government and people of South Africa to the government
and people of Madagascar following one the most severe
cyclones to be experienced by yourselves."
"Our thoughts and prayers reach out to the government
and people of Madagascar at this time of national mourning.
We too mourn with those who have lost loved ones, family
and friends and wish those injured a speedy recovery,"
concluded President Mbeki.
