President Mbeki Congratulates President of Seychelles on Inauguration

President Thabo Mbeki, today - Tuesday, 13 April 2004 - congratulated James Michel on his inauguration as the third President of the Republic of Seychelles scheduled for Wednesday, 14 April 2004.

President Mbeki said, "Your Excellency, it is with pleasure that I take this opportunity to extend, on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of South Africa, our sincere congratulations and felicitations on your being sworn in as the third President of the Republic of Seychelles."

"It is my fervent hope that the good relations that already exist between our two countries could be further strengthened and consolidated for the benefit of both our people's under your able leadership," concluded President Mbeki.
