MR DHM GIBSON (DA) TO ASK THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS:

Whether, when the decision was taken to consolidate diplomatic ties with the government of Equatorial Guinea, that country's poor human rights record was taken into consideration; if not, why not; if so, what specific factors were considered in this regards? N784E

REPLY:

We have diplomatic relations with all African countries, that is the only way we can easily interact with them on any issue.
