MR Y WANG (ID) TO ASK THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS:

In the light of the early conclusion of the second session of the Pan African Parliament (PAP) as a result of certain member countries failing to pay their dues, what measures are being planned to put the Pan-African Parliament in a more financially sustainable position, considering that poorer member countries may be unable to contribute? N1056E

REPLY:

The Budget of the PAP had not been approved by the Heads of State at the time of its last sitting. The budget is due to be approved at the end of January 2005.
