Update on South Africans Affected by Tsunami The Ministry
of Foreign Affairs advises that as at 16h00, today Monday 17 January 2005 the
status of South Africans affected by Tsunami is as follows: Deaths: 11; Missing
4; and 13 remain unaccounted for. South African Foreign Affairs Consular
Officers both in Pretoria and at the SA Embassy in Thailand will continue with
efforts to assist affected families to search for the missing and unaccounted
South Africans. In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has in addition
to its consular efforts also listed the support of Interpol to determine the whereabouts
