Deputy President Jacob Zuma in Uganda to Brief Presidents Museveni and Mkapa on Progress in the Burundi Peace Process

Deputy President Jacob Zuma has arrived in Entebbe, Uganda, for consultations with President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and President Benjamin Mkapa of Tanzania, on the Burundi Peace process. He returns to South Africa this evening.

President Museveni is the Chairperson of the Great Lakes Initiative on Burundi, and President Mkapa is the Deputy Chairperson. They requested the facilitator to come and brief them on progress in the peace process.
