Deputy President Jacob Zuma arrives in Uganda for the Burundi Summit

Deputy President Jacob Zuma today, 20th April 2005, arrived in Kampala, Uganda, to attend the 24th Summit of the Great Lakes Regional Peace Initiative on Burundi.

Deputy President Zuma is the facilitator in the Burundi Peace Process.

The Summit is aimed at reviewing progress made thus far and giving direction on the way forward.

The Summit will take place on Friday, 22nd April 2005, and the Deputy President is scheduled to return to South Africa on the same day.
