Media Advisory on Credentials Ceremony

President Thabo Mbeki will Friday afternoon, July 29, 14H00, receive Letters of Credence from three high commissioners and an ambassador designate at the Presidential Guesthouse in Pretoria. The event is open to members of the media.

The ambassador and high commissioners to be received are the following:
1. Ambassador Ondongui-Bonnard - Republic of Gabon;
2. High Commissioner PNM Mswane - Kingdom of Swaziland;
3. High Commissioner S Pal - Republic of India; and
4. High Commissioner N Haider - Republic of Bangladesh.

The ceremony is not only meant to officially accredit ambassadors/high Commissioners appointed to represent their respective countries in South Africa. It also provides an opportunity for countries to consolidate and strengthen bilateral relations.
