President Mbeki Extends South Africa's Congratulations to Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak on his Victory in the Egyptian Presidential Elections

Tshwane: President Mbeki today, Tuesday, 13 September 2005, offered heartfelt congratulations of the government and people of South Africa to President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on his election victory.

President Mbeki said that " it is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to convey to Your Excellency, on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of South Africa, sincere congratulations on your election victory."

"We are indeed pleased Your Excellency by your resounding victory in the country's general elections and your pledges to pursue political reforms"

" I look forward, Mr President to the further development and expansion of our bilateral relations and multilateral co-operation as you prepare to take the oath during the sitting of Egypt's Parliament in two weeks time .

"We also wish you the best, Your Excellency for the forthcoming November Parliamentary elections, concluded President Mbeki"
