Minister Dlamini Zuma to Launch Foreign Affairs Imbizo

Tshwane: Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will officially launch the Foreign Affairs Imbizo under the theme, "People United in Peace and Friendship Towards a Better Africa and a Better World," on Tuesday, 23 August 2005 from 09h00 to 13h00, Jameson Hall, University of Cape Town (UCT).

The Foreign Affairs Imbizo will bring together academics, students, workers, research organisations, members of parliament and the provincial legislature, student organisations, and local communities around UCT, in an interactive session with senior members of Foreign Affairs to exchange views on South Africa's Foreign Policy, it's conduct, implementation, its effect on ordinary South Africans, and how we can improve on our deliverables.

Minister Dlamini Zuma expresses the hope that through this Imbizo, both the government, institutions of higher learning and the rest of South African society will improve on their collaboration as we implement practical programmes of consolidating the African agenda in building a South Africa that truly belongs to all who live in it.
