Minister Dlamini Zuma to Hold Discussions with Indonesian Counterpart

Jakarta - South African Foreign Minister, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will hold discussions with Indonesian counterpart Foreign Minister Dr Noer Hassan Wirajuda in Jakarta, Indonesia on Monday 25 April 2005.

Discussions will be aimed at following through on the outcome of the Asian-African Conference, which ended on Saturday, 23 April 2005 in Jakarta.

In this regard Asian and African Heads of State and Government adopted the outcomes of the Conference which included recommendations on:

· New Asian-African Strategic Partnership;
· Asia-Africa co-operation on disaster reduction;
· New Asian-African Partnership Plan of Action; and
· Agenda and programme of activities of the Asian-African Strategic Partnership.

Minister Dlamini Zuma is expected to arrive in South Africa on Wednesday 27 April 2005 ahead of Freedom Day celebrations.
