Memorial Service for Ambassador Alfred Tokollo Moleah

Tshwane - The Director-General of Foreign Affairs, Dr Ayanda Ntsaluba has today Friday, 3 June 2005 announced that the memorial service for the late Ambassador to Vienna, Prof Alfred Tokollo Moleah will be held on Monday, 6 June 2005 at the City Hall, Paul Kruger Street, Tshwane at 15:00.

Professor Moleah passed away in Vienna on Saturday, 28 May 2005 after a brief illness.

Professor Moleah, a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Transkei and Professor of Political Science at the Temple University in Philadephia, USA, joined the Department of Foreign Affairs in March 2001.

The Director-General reiterated that the thoughts and prayers of the government and people of South Africa are with Prof Moleah's family, friends and colleagues, and in particular his wife, Dr Thabisile Hlatwsayo Moleah, and the four children Thandeka, Modise, Buyelang and Mosupatsela during this trying moment of their life.

The Director-General again extended, on behalf of President Thabo Mbeki, the Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, the top management of the Department of Foreign Affairs, our Ambassadors and High Commissioners at home and abroad and the entire staff of the Department of Foreign Affairs, our heartfelt condolences to the entire Moleah family.
