Minister Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma Extends South Africa's Condolences on the Death of Zimbabwe Cabinet Minister Josiah Tungamirai, 26 August 2005

TSHWANE- Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma has today Friday 26 August 2005 conveyed on behalf of President Thabo Mbeki, the government and the people of South Africa, her sincere condolences to the Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, the government and the people of Zimbabwe following the death of Minister Josiah Tungamirai at a South African clinic earlier today.

Minister Dlamini Zuma said; "The death of Minister Tungamirai, the Minister for Black Empowerment and Indigenization has robbed our sister nation of a dedicated politician whose contribution would regrettably be missed as Zimbabweans engage in the process of confronting economic and political challenges facing them."

"On behalf of President Thabo Mbeki we join the government and the people of Zimbabwe and particularly his family in solemn memory of Zimbabwe's freedom fighter Minister Tungamirai".
