Costs incurred by the Department of Foreign Affairs during the
Budget Vote NATIONAL ASSEMBLY FOR ORAL REPLY QUESTION
NO: 11 (WRITTEN QUESTION 1313) MR DHM GIBSON (DA) TO ASK THE MINISTER
OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS: 1. Whether any function was organised to mark the occasion
of the delivery of her budget vote in the National Assembly and the National Council
of Provinces in 2005; if so, (a) what total amount was spent on this function,
(b) what amount was spent on (i) food and refreshments, (ii) venue, (iii) entertainment,
(iv) staff and (v) transport and (c) how many people were invited to attend the
function? REPLY: 1. Yes. The function was held on 15 April
2005. 2 (a) Total amount spent on the function: R55 175.90. (b)
(i) Amount spent on food and refreshments: R 21 555, 90.
(ii) Amount spent
on the cost of venue: R3 420, 00 including deco.
(iii) Amount spent on entertainment:
R20 000, 00
(iv) Amount spent on staff: included in the cost of catering.
(v) Amount spent on transport: R6 300, 00. (c ) Number of people invited
to attend the function: 200.
