MR D H M GIBSON (DA) TO ASK THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS:

(1) Whether the Government has received any request from the interim Haitian Government for the extradition of Mr Jean-Bertrand Aristide to that country in order to face corruption charges; if so, when was the request received.

(2) Whether this request has been acceded to; if not, what are the reasons for refusing the extradition request; if so, on what basis was the request approved?
