D H M Gibson (DA) to ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs: (1) Whether the
Government is considering an application for a loan to the government of
Zimbabwe; if so, what is the amount of the loan;
(2) whether the Government
will attach any conditions to the loan or its repayment; if not, why
not;
if so, what conditions?

The form and detail of the financial package has not yet been finalised as discussions
between the South African and Zimbabwean governments are still in progress.
