President Thabo Mbeki announces Cabinet Appointments President
Thabo Mbeki today announced appointments to Cabinet as detailed below, following
the passing away of Ms Stella Sigcau, former Minister of Public Works. Ms
Angela Thoko Didiza, currently Minister of Agriculture, becomes Minister
of Public Works. Ms
Lulu Xingwana, currently Deputy Minister of Minerals and Energy, becomes
Minister of Agriculture and Land Affairs. Ms
Buyelwa Patience Sonjica, currently Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry,
becomes Minister of Minerals and Energy Ms
Lindiwe Benedicta Hendricks, currently Minister of Minerals and Energy,
becomes Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry. The Ministers will be sworn
