Minister Dlamini Zuma to lead SA Delegation to the International Working Group Meeting on Côte D'Ivoire

Tshwane - South African Foreign Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will depart South Africa on Wednesday 15 February 2006 for Abidjan where she will lead the South African government delegation to the fourth meeting of the International Working Group on Côte D'Ivoire scheduled for Friday, 17 February 2006.

Minister Dlamini Zuma's participation on the International Working Group meeting comes within the context of the mandate bestowed on South African President Thabo Mbeki by the African Union and the UN to create the conditions for a political resolution of the situation in Côte D'Ivoire.

The fourth session of the International Working Group is expected to consider reports from Prime Minister Charles Konan Banny and the African Union appointed mediation team while also assessing progress in the implementation of the Roadmap.

Minister Dlamini Zuma is expected to return to South Africa on Saturday, 18 February 2006.
