Foreign Minister Dlamini Zuma to visit Mali

Bamako - South African Foreign Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma is today on Sunday 11 June 2006 expected in Bamako, the capital of Mali where she will lead the South African delegation to attend the Femmes Africa Solidaire (FAS), a women's conference on gender, peace and security in Africa (10-14 June 2006).

Minister Dlamini Zuma was in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, where she led a South African delegation to the African Union Ministerial Meeting to discuss the unconstitutional changes of governments in Africa and a draft proposal on democracy, elections, and governance in Africa.

At the FAS Conference, Minister Dlamini Zuma will deliver a keynote address on the theme "Capitalising on Years of Women's Experience".

Foreign Minister Dlamini Zuma is expected to return to South Africa on 15 June 2006 ahead of the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the June 16th Student Uprisings.
