Media Advisory: President Mbeki's International Investment Council Meeting, 14 May 2006

Members of the media are invited to attend a media briefing on Sunday 14 May 2006, following a three-day meeting of the President's International Investment Council (IIC). The 10th meeting of the IIC will be held at Mount Grace Hotel and Spa in Magaliesburg, Krugersdorp from 12 to 14 May 2006.

This 4th meeting since the third democratic elections will bring together ten world business leaders, key Ministers, Directors General and the President's Special Advisers to discuss, amongst other things, issues pertaining to the progress of the Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative (ASGISA) and the job-creation programme known as the Joint Initiative on Priority Skills Acquisition (JIPSA), an update on WTO and the Doha Development Agenda and the Nepad implementation of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM). President Mbeki will lead the Government delegation.
