President Thabo Mbeki Offers Condolences to Government and People of Kuwait

Tshwane: South African President Thabo Mbeki today, Sunday 15 January 2006, on behalf of the Government and people of South Africa, conveyed his condolences to the Government and people of Kuwait following the death of Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al- Sabah, earlier today.

In a message of support, President Mbeki said, "Please accept the deepest condolences of the South African Government and people following the death of Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al- Sabah earlier today, Sunday 15 January 2006."

"Please accept the thought and prayers of the Government and people of South Africa at this time of national mourning," concluded President Mbeki.
