Minister Lindiwe Sisulu to deliver an Opening Address at the National Workshop on NEPAD

Sandton- Minister of Housing, Lindiwe Sisulu will on Wednesday 19 April 2006 deliver an opening address at National Workshop on Nepad organised by the Department of Foreign Affairs, scheduled for Wednesday-Friday 19-21 April 2006 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg.

The workshop is expected to attract government, business, labour leaders, representatives of civil society and other government officials including the CEO of NEDLAC, Mr Herbert Mkhize; Ms Laura Khanyaku, representing Non-Governmental Organisatios and Community Based Organisations; Jerry Vilakazi of Business South Africa.

The three-day workshop will critically evaluate the impact of NEPAD programmes on civil society and examine best ways to collaborate efforts by government departments, business and labour in realising the objectives of NEPAD at country level.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sue van der Merwe will deliver the closing address scheduled for Friday 21 April.
