Whether her department and/or government representatives participated in the recent
Goedgedacht discussions on Zimbabwe at Riebeeck-Kasteel; if not, why not; if so,
what are the relevant details? N1496E REPLY: (1) No. Neither
the Department of Foreign Affairs nor Government representatives participated
in the Goedgedacht conference on Zimbabwe. The Department of Foreign Affairs and
Government was not invited to this conference. According to the secretariat, the
invitees were mainly NGO's and Media Houses from South Africa and Zimbabwe, to
whom invitations had been extended. |
