Whether the Government is considering relocating the Africa Institute of South Africa which is at present located within the Department of Science and Technology; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details? N1327E

REPLY:

There are currently ongoing discussions between the officials of the Departments of Science and Technology and Foreign Affairs to examine the appropriateness or otherwise of the Africa Institute of South Africa (AISA) relocating to the Department of Foreign Affairs. These discussions were requested by the 2 Ministers. Any decision to change the current arrangements will be appropriately communicated.
