MR L B LABUSCHAGNE TO AS THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS:

(1) Whether all persons working with or having access to classified material have received the necessary security clearances from the appropriate authorities; if not (a) why not and (b) how many such clearances are outstanding?N835E

REPLY:

(1) I wish to advise the Honourable Member that any matter related to the issue of security clearances falls within the mandate of the National Intelligence Agency and therefore any question/s or queries in this regard should be directed via the Democratic Alliance's representative on the Standing Committee in Intelligence.
