President Thabo Mbeki offers Condolences to Chadian President Idriss Deby

Cape Town - South African President Thabo Mbeki today Friday 23 February 2007 extended the deepest condolences of the South African government and people to the President Idriss Deby, government and people of Chad following the death of Prime Minister Pascal Yoadimnadji in Paris earlier today.

President Mbeki said, "Please accept the heartfelt condolences of the government and people of South Africa following the death of Prime Minister Yoadimnadji earlier today Friday, 23 February 2007 in Paris."

"During this time of national mourning, the thoughts and prayers of the government and people of South Africa reach out to the family of the late Prime Minister, the government, and people of Chad."

"The government and people of South Africa share in the pain and sorrow of the government and people of Chad," concluded President Thabo Mbeki.
