Minister Dlamini Zuma to address a two-day Community Organisations Workshop at Burgerspark Hotel, Pretoria

Pretoria: South African Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, will tomorrow, Friday, 2 February 2007 address a joint workshop by the Community Organisation Regional Network (CORN) and the Department of Foreign Affairs. The objectives of the workshop are:

  • To identify programmes which the Department of Foreign Affairs needs to partner with civil society on e.g. implementation of the Outcomes of the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD), the United Nations Millenium Development Goals, India-Brazil-South Africa's Partnership within the context of building people-to-people relations, the role of civil society organisations in the New Programme for Africa's Development (NEPAD) programmes and the participation of civil society in Peace and Post Conflict Reconstruction Programmes.
