President Mbeki to receive credentials of incoming Heads of Missions on Thursday

President Thabo Mbeki will Thursday, 08 March 2007, receive letters of credence from two high commissioners and three ambassadors designate at Tuynhuys, Cape Town.

The ceremony marks the official accreditation of ambassadors/high commissioners appointed to represent their respective countries in South Africa. It also provides an opportunity for countries to consolidate and strengthen bilateral relations

The Ambassadors and High Commissioners to be received are the following:

  1. High Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Bhatai of the Republic of India
  2. High Commissioner Noellie Alexander of the Republic of Seychelles
  3. Ambassador Edward Rudolf Braafheid of the Republic of Suriname
  4. Ambassador Khalid Bin Suleiman Ba'Omar of the Sultanate of Oman
  5. Ambassador Dan Eddie Frederiksen of the Kingdom of Denmark
