Minister Dlamini Zuma to Visit Guinea Conakry

Accra- South African Foreign Minister Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will tomorrow, Wednesday 7 March depart from Ghana to visit Guinea Conakry for bilateral political discussions with her counterpart Foreign Minister Mamady Conde scheduled for Thursday 8 March 2007 in Conakry.

Minister Dlamini Zuma will be visiting Guinea Conakry within the context of the existing Joint Bilateral Commission aimed at regulating bilateral political and economic relations between the two countries.

In this regard, and in addition to bilateral discussions with her counterpart, Minister Dlamini Zuma is expected to be briefed on the current political developments in the country during her interaction with both the President Lansana Conte and Prime Minister Lansana Kouayate

Minister Dlamini Zuma was in Accra as part of the South African delegation led by President Thabo Mbeki to the 50th Anniversary celebrations of Ghana's independence which had spurred liberation movements across the continent to rid Africa of the scourge of racism and colonialism.

Minister Dlamini Zuma is expected to return to South Africa on Friday 9 March
