Minister Dlamini Zuma has not Entered Succession FRAY

Pretoria – The suggestion that Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma has now entered the current succession debate as reported in today, Friday 16 November 2007 media is both erroneous and misleading.

In the interview the Minister had on Kaya-FM on Thursday 15 November 2007, Minister Dlamini Zuma, rather than her specific role, was dealing with generic questions about the leadership role of women in general both within and outside the ANC.

Accordingly, Minister Dlamini Zuma has not entered into the current fray about succession within the ANC, as suggested by the media articles today.

In this regard, Minister Dlamini Zuma expresses her confidence in the leadership of President Thabo Mbeki.
