AU-UN Panel re: Relationship between UN and Regional Organisations

Former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi will today Monday, 27 October 2008 lead an African Union – United Nations Panel of distinguished persons to hear views of SADC governments and civil society on the relationship between the United Nations and regional organisations, in particular, the African Union in conflict resolution.

The theme of the relationship between the United Nations and regional organisations, in particular, the African Union in conflict resolution was introduced by South Africa during its Presidency of the United Nations Security Council in March this year
