Media Advisory: President Thabo Mbeki to attend the funeral service of the late John Gomomo
 
President Thabo Mbeki will on Saturday, 9 February 2008, attend the funeral of the late Mr. John Phumzile Gomomo, former President of COSATU and ANC Member of Parliament.

On the 22nd January 2008, the Cabinet Lekgotla led by President Mbeki, paid tribute to Mr. Gomomo, acknowledging the outstanding contribution he played in the struggle for liberation of South Africa and its post apartheid reconstruction.

The funeral service will take place at the Jabavu Stadium in Kwa Nobuhle, Uitenhage at 9am.
